Films from the Larry Hart Collection with Alan Hart
Alan Hart will show historic films from The Larry Hart Local History Collection at the SCHS. The films are rare footage of historic places in Schenectady including one of the last rides on the trolley, Lindbergh’s famous visit, the dramatic fire at the First Reformed Church, and early color film of a bustling downtown. Much of the footage is home movies filmed by Larry Hart, and is black and white without sound. Alan Hart will narrate some of the scenes. Viewer’s comments and identifications of historic places will be part of the film discussion.
